    Company Overview:
    BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) is a medical technology company that serves healthcare institutions, life science researchers, clinical laboratories, industry and the general public. BD manufactures and sells a broad range of medical supplies, devices, laboratory equipment and diagnostic products BD Diabetes helps people by providing the latest news and information via a newsletter. BD Diabetes also provides recipes and lifestyle information.

    Before EchoMail
    BD had little control over the outbound and inbound E-Mails generated by various brand managers' direct marketing campaign as a third party vendor hosted the database. There was little routing, queuing, reporting, and security of e-mails. Neither the database was centralized nor was it HIPPA compliant. The proprietary and inflexible nature of the database did not help, as BD could not engage the customers in a meaningful dialogue. BD had little control of e-mails being routed to third party vendors for fulfillment of promotional campaigns by brand managers.

    The EchoMail Deployment
    EchoMail® DM™ and DW™ were deployed, along with 12 Different Forms promoting various products of BD Diabetes. The EchoMail® DM™ empowered the brand managers to use BD branded templates to execute their own campaigns. Now, BD could collect opt-ins, map the clients based on product interest and run complex analytics. BD could standardize fields for all the imported data form previous campaigns. EchoMail provided HIPAA Compliance Consulting services by educating BD & Third Party fulfillment vendors in Compliance Criteria. EchoMail® CC™ provided powerful workflow functionality to support complex routing, queuing, reporting, and security and allows for integration with other EchoMail applications.

    After EchoMail
    BD is able to receive, manage, route, respond and track inbound e-mails originating from all BD Brand Managers direct marketing campaigns, web sites and Internet address.

    Now, BD can foster a dialog with its customers. By hearing what the customers are saying, BD is able to respond in a timely and personalized manner and fix an issue before it is too late. BD is able to control the routing to third party vendors and fulfillment houses, while being HIPPA compliant.

    While providing freedom to brand managers to run product specific campaigns, BD is also able to control branding.
