CAMBRIDGE, MA - November 29, 1999 - The Board of Directors for EchoMail, Inc. elected Larry Weber, Chairman
and CEO of Weber Public Relations Worldwide, and G.M. O'Connell, Co-Founder and Chairman of Modem Media. Poppe Tyson to join
its membership. The decision was made at EchoMail, Inc.'s most recent Board Meeting on October 26, 1999.
Mr. Weber runs the ninth largest public relations firms in the world. Over the past 20 years, he has provided counsel
to a variety of clients on a broad range of issues and established a reputation for thoughtful, out of the box thinking.
Mr. Weber is widely recognized as one of the industry's foremost visionaries in applying technology to the practice of
public relations. In doing so, he transformed the industry's profile, enhancing its value and effectiveness in today's
communication-driven economy.
Identified as a visionary in the converging worlds of technology and communications, Mr. Weber serves on the board
of several leading institutions and emerging organizations. He was elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The
Computer Museum in June 1996. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Interactive Media
Council (MIMC). In 1998, Mr. Weber co-founded The Commonwealth, a united initiative to promote Massachusetts as the
best place in the world for technology innovation and leadership. He was recently named a board member of Technology
Review, MIT's magazine of innovation. Mr. Weber also sits on the board of several Internet-related start-ups.
Mr. Weber will be applying his experience and talent to advise and guide EchoMail, Inc. toward establishing world
leadership in the e-mail Customer Relationship Management (CRM) space. "EchoMail, Inc. has a great customer base for
a young company. I see tremendous potential for EchoMail, Inc. to enhance its leadership position in e-mail CRM. In
my advisory role on the Board, I look forward to once again experiencing the excitement of watching a young company
take off as more and more companies take advantage of e-mail as a strategic tool for building customer relationships."
G.M. O'Connell co-founded Modem Media . Poppe Tyson in 1987, and has helped to drive this innovative interactive
advertising agency into one of the most successful in the world. Mr. O'Connell has extensive experience working with
innovative companies utilizing emerging technologies, such as his work as a Product Manager for CompuMall, reportedly
the first online mall. He serves on the American Association of Advertising Agencies' Technology Committee.
Mr. O'Connell brings to EchoMail, Inc. his talents in growing a successful enterprise, and in enhancing customer
relationships with new communications technologies.
