CAMBRIDGE, MA - May 8, 2001 - EchoMail, the established provider of E-Mail Relationship Management solutions, today hosted its second E-Mail2001@MIT Conference in Cambridge from May 3-4, 2001 at the MIT University Park Hotel.

The two-day conference structured as a series of workshops, lectures and lab sessions had participants earning course credits toward their E-Mail Marketing Certification. The conference opened with remarks from President and CEO, V.A. Shiva, on the pulse of the industry, as he focused upon what smart companies are doing in this changing economy. Later in the day, discussions turned to Internet and legal policy guidelines and a look at how anti-spam bills pending in Congress may affect their business. To close the first day, participants met in the Library for networking and a wine tasting and buffet, now a tradition of the E-Mail2001@ MIT Conference.

Day two, the final day of their MIT experience, attendees participated in workshops for strategic planning where they solved real-life problems. Scenarios were based on every day work challenges of uncontrolled E-Mail systems that are not customer-focused, companies that are losing sales opportunities, or have a need to collect more E-Mail addresses.

Many thought the most interesting portion of the conference was the Building a Successful Direct E-Mail Campaign workshop, facilitated by Chief Creative Officer, Zoe Helene and supported by the Product Consultant team. In this workshop, participants built their own E-Mail direct marketing campaign from start to finish including idea creation, layout design, adding collateral materials, and exhibiting the final campaign. "The creative was a lot of fun, especially doing it all from scratch, I was able to create something that I was very comfortable with taking back to my marketing team," said a marketing executive from a Midwest-based energy company.
