EchoMail Prepares for Read Across America
EchoMail Community Outreach Series

CAMBRIDGE, MA - December 08, 2001 - EchoMail, the established provider of E-Mail Relationship Management solutions, today collected books for Read Across America, an educational outreach program for children in the community.

"Reaching out to the community and supporting educational programs is as much a part of EchoMail's spirit as is E-Mail leveraging," said Zoe Helene, CCO of EchoMail, Inc. "We believe in the creation of a literate public, willing and able to enjoy communication and reading via a variety of media. We are really looking forward to reading The Cat in the Hat and my personal favorite, Green Eggs and Ham."

EchoMail staff plans to join the Daniel Haggerty Elementary School in their celebration of the joy of reading and the birthday of Dr. Seuss. EchoMail is excited to be a part of the nation-wide mosaic of readers answering the National Education Association's call: for every child to be reading in the company of a caring adult.

EchoMail staff collected 57 books, including children's classics such as Dr. Seuss, Paddington Bear, and the Velveteen Rabbit as well as more modern works such as Where the Sidewalk Ends and Stinky Cheese Man.

About Read Across America
For the fourth year in a row, the National Education Association (NEA) has selected March 2nd, Dr. Seuss's Birthday, to bring reading to children, for children, by children, and with children, to the forefront. According to the NEA, "Last year, almost 30 million children and adults celebrated reading on ships, in stadiums, in schools, in private homes, and even in the hallowed halls of the United States Supreme Court."
